Extended Options for External Staircases

External staircases which are imported through DXF or WTR (Wagemeyer System) into Compass Software now offer more details for editing.

It is possible to import tread data via the DXF or WTR interface. On the basis of these treads, it is now possible to also calculate tread coverings, risers, and child protection slats. The parameters for these components are entered in the familiar menus. This option offers the same features as the regular stair design process, e.g., creating grooves, dismissing grooves, folding tread coverings around the edges, etc.

The treads will be generated with grooves and rabbets for risers or child protection slats. The tread coverings, risers, and child protection slats are saved in the tree of orders as templates and can be further optimized just as all other templates. Moreover, it is possible to process these parts on a CNC machine with our postprocessor.

This option extends the possibilities for external staircases and permits the processing of even more stair parts.
