5-Axis Machine Installation at Signature Woodcrafters

At the beginning of August, service technician Salvatore Gandolfo installed a Homag CNC machine with Compass Software at long-time customer Signature Woodcrafters.

Signature Woodcrafters has been designing stairs with Compass Software for over a decade. Now, the American stair builder also had their 5-axis Homag CNC set up with Compass Software. Service technician Salvatore Gandolfo traveled to Pennsylvania for a week to connect the machine.

In addition to all standard parts, the setup of our CS wreath manufacturing was a major focus. The stair builder manufactures many spiral staircases and does not want to bend them manually, as is often the case in the US. Instead, they want to manufacture them directly from solid wood. The associated handrails are to be produced with CS wreath. This saves many hours of time and effort.

Signature Woodcrafters can now make their own railing parts, such as volutes, goosenecks, starteasings, etc., to supplement purchased standard parts.
