Fully Automatic Throughfeed Machine for Stair Parts

CEO Detlef Hollinderbaeumer, Head of Development Ludger Ostendarp, and developer Carsten Hoffmann have successfully carried through a factory acceptance test of a Conturex Vario L for stair parts for customer Aru Grupp AS from Estonia at the Weinig factory in Tauberbischofsheim, Germany.

The Weinig Conturex is the first fully automatic throughfeed machine on the market that can be used for all nearly straight stair parts.

Compass CEO Detlef Hollinderbaeumer: “We have been looking for a machine like this for a long time. The Weinig company has finally made this possible with the implementation of a Vario-table.” Marco Deisel, the responsible sales representative at Weinig is also thrilled: “With the company Aru, we have finally found a longstanding common customer who also regards this concept as the right step in the direction of high-performance stair manufacturing with batch size 1.”

With a width of 330mm it is even possible to completely process stringers on this machine. Compass Software is currently programming work processes for throughfeed machining, which can only be used for the machining of stair parts on traditional table machines right now. These developments should be mostly finished by the time the machine is installed at customer Aru´s workshop at the end of July.
