Compass Software & Stair Academy Cooperate for Better Transfer of Knowledge

Compass Software’s ongoing efforts to improve knowledge transfer in the stair building industry will now be supported by a new partnership with the German online portal Treppenakademie (Stair Academy).

Joerg Arras and 4 other partners founded the Stair Academy in 2020 with the goal of collecting, preserving, and sharing knowledge about stair building. Often such skills and knowledge are lost if they are not explicitly recorded. Therefore, it is the 5 stair expert’s mission to collect any information related to stair building and to present it in a simple way on their website www.treppenakademie.de. Anyone can currently register for free on the website to benefit from the numerous articles, photos, and explanatory videos. The website has almost 600 registered users so far, of which 1/3 are stair builders, 1/3 are architects and planners, and 1/3 are private individuals.

In mid-June, Joerg Arras visited the Compass Software headquarters in Dortmund for two days of software training.

The Stair Academy will receive a school version of the Compass stair software, which will be used to further develop the knowledge collection on the website. The software makes it possible to display the variety and endless design possibilities of different stair types.

We are thrilled to be a part of the Stair Academy and to help make stair building even more accessible to future generations.
