XML Import from Measurement Systems

Our fully integrated XML interface makes it possible to import data from external laser measurement systems into Compass Software.

The interface is perfect for the import of XML data for in-situ concrete cores, existing stairs, well hole openings, floor height, ceiling structure, handrails, complex geometries, room information such as walls, windows, doors, wall openings, cable ducts, etc.

The transfer of Flexijet measurement data is fully integrated and especially easy, due to our longstanding cooperation with the company Flexijet.

The extension XML Import for In-Situ Concrete Plus offers additional functions on top of the above:

• The import of measuring point pictures, which can be displayed directly in the software.
• Measurement of additional lines at tread height on the wall, which make the drawing of tread side edges easier in CAD, e.g., for a gap between the wall and tread.

OBJ Interface

Stairs in OBJ format can find different applications:

• 3D Display of Stairs – Stairs can be exported in OBJ format and then imported into external 3D software.
• 3D Printing – Stairs can be printed as a small-scale 3D model on a 3D printer, which can be used as an innovative sales tool.
• Augmented Reality (AR) Apps – It is possible to generate a QR code with an external augmented reality app, which lets the user project stairs into any room on a smartphone or tablet.

IFC and 3D DXF Export for External Software

With Compass Software it is possible to export stairs in IFC and 3D DXF format. IFC and 3D DXF are commonly used to display objects in so called BIM (Building Design and Building Information Modelling) Software. Stairs can be imported into the BIM model as a 3D drawing.

XML interface to ERP Software

The XML interface to ERP software makes it possible to import order information from ERP systems into Compass or export stair information from Compass into an ERP system with only one click. This makes double entering all data obsolete.

The import/export includes: order name, stair name, addresses, delivery date, cost calculation, well hole and floor height measurements, materials, styles, and predefinitions.

The following options are available:

• Export only from Compass Software into the ERP system
• Export and import from the ERP system to Compass Software and reverse
• Automatic XML import from the ERP system into Compass Software
