The latest enhancement to Plate Optimisation 2.0 provides additional flexibility for organising and optimising stringer components. Users can now define in the settings whether all stringers, only mortised stringers, or only open stringers should be included in the optimisation process.
This new feature makes it possible to create separate optimisation strategies for mortised and open stringers, allowing the specific requirements of each construction method to be taken into account. Different panel dimensions, wood species, wood grades, part spacing, and other optimisation parameters can now be assigned individually to each stringer type.
For manufacturers producing both construction types, separate optimisation offers greater flexibility, improved material utilisation, and a more organised production workflow.
The default setting remains “Optimise All Stringers”. Existing customers will therefore see no change to their current workflows. The separate optimisation of mortised and open stringers must be configured and activated as required.
