Plate Optimisation 2.0: Selecting Position for Parts

With Compass Software, it is now possible to arrange parts even more individually in Plate Optimisation 2.0.

It is now possible to position the remaining wood of the plate to the right or to the top. The "right" position was previously the default and is now preset by the checkbox. However, the "right" setting may result in smaller left-over plates that cannot be reused.

The "top" setting is now available for this purpose. The parts are placed at the bottom edge, leaving a long, narrow piece of left-over panel that can either be reused as is or glued together with 2-4 other long lamellas to form a new panel.

We have also programmed a new setting that allows the front edges of treads to be positioned on the edge of the plate. If necessary, a distance to the edge can be considered. This ensures that the first wooden lamella in the tread is always the same size. If the distance is set to 0 mm, a finished edge with profile/postforming edge/edge banding can also be processed at the machine stop.
