Slanted Drillings at Exit for Z-Risers on Open Stringers

Compass Software users can now create slanted drillings in the exit tread for z-risers on open stringer stairs.

Previously the dowels/screws were always positioned straight to 90°. Now it is also possible to position them parallel to the z-risers, like the other fittings. The user can decide whether to position the drillings at the exit straight or slanted, depending on the assembly requirements.

This is necessary because the alignment of the connection between the riser and the tread above determines the connection to the stringer. When the connection between the riser and the tread is slanted, then the connection to the stringer has to be slanted as well. When the connection between the riser and tread is straight, then a straight connection to the stringer is required. Both options are now available and simplify assembly.

The setting can be applied during design or can be activated in the groundplan predefinitions under tread -> exit tread -> open stringer details.

Available from the next release version.
