Successful Completion of Installation at HTL Rankweil in Austria

he Höhere Technische Bundeslehr- und Versuchsanstalt Rankweil (Technical College in Rankweil, Austria) has been using Compass Software’s CAD solution for educational purposes for some years. Now they are also utilizing our CAM/CNC solution for timber construction. The technical college approached Compass Software through the company Handl Maschinen, who has been selling SCM machines in Austria for many years and has a lot of experience in the industry. The college purchased their own SCM machine in early 2017.

Compass Software installed the SCM 5-Achs Accord at the HTL Rankweil.
The Compass Software service successfully ran several test parts during the installation and configuration of the CNC machine at the beginning of July 2017.

The 5 axis processing center Accord 25 has a moveable gantry, an output of 12 kW at only 9.000 RPM and makes it possible to process parts of up to 250 mm in height. Our service successfully ran several test parts during the installation and configuration of the CNC machine at the beginning of July 2017. Compass Software’s timber solution is based on the BTL interface. The necessary CAD data is delivered from the Dietrich’s designing software and Compass Software makes the fully automatic CNC control possible. Thanks to the perfect connection between the two software solutions the HTL Rankweil has a whole new world of carpentry projects their students can take on.
