Dowels & Lamellos in Baluster-Run Part Connection Positioned Freely

Dowels and lamellos that are positioned either on top of a run part or below a run part can now be placed freely.

Previously, it was only possible to position dowels/lamellos in the center. Now, the user can select the option “Position resp. Thickness” in the height construction properties under drilling patterns. The distance can be increased or decreased as a percentage from a reference point.

This makes it possible to place two dowels next to each other or diagonally from each other for example. This setting is especially helpful for balusters that are wider than they are long.

Note for CNC users: The new processing steps for the dowel drillings and lamellos have been added to the standard part post-processor. The old baluster post-processor can no longer be used. Customers who previously used the old baluster processor to machine dowels and lamellos will need to switch newly designed stairs over to the new post-processor otherwise the drillings will be missing. Balusters can only be machined using the new Windows baluster processor.
